My Best Friend's Bridal Shower

On October 2, 2022, one of my best friends, Lo, got married. It was a beautiful day and I cried like a baby through the entire ceremony. Lo was a wonderful bride and we did all of the fun and traditional things leading up to her big day. As we got closer to her wedding date, we were told by Lo that she wouldn't be having a bridal shower. She felt as though the pre-wedding festivities we'd partaken in were already too much to ask for. Obviously, I could not accept this, so my wannabe Event Planner self took control for the day.
I hosted Lo's bridal shower just a couple of weeks before her wedding with a pretty limited budget and short notice- but no one knew! Armed with a $200 budget and Amazon Prime at my fingertips, I set out to throw Lo a sage and white-colored garden party-inspired bridal shower.
Despite being on a tight budget, I didn't want the bridal shower to look cheap. I elevated the overall look by splurging on customized napkins that had the bride and groom's names, their wedding date, and "Better Together", their first dance song, printed on them.
To allow for future versatility, I opted for sage table runners to lie on top of the white tablecloths and used accent decorations to tie the theme together. Guests were greeted at their seats with their plates and cutlery along with a gold paper-clipped collection of wedding-themed games. Since we were going to toss the plates when we finished eating, plastic dishes looked just fine, especially when the games were a part of the flat-lay presentation. By mixing low-priced items with a couple of customized "splurges", Lo's bridal shower looked polished and pretty without breaking the bank.
